Virtus and Fingerprinting

To help keep our parish a safe and welcoming home for all, St. Clare requires all volunteers who serve with children, youth, or the wider community to complete Virtus Protecting God’s Children training and fingerprinting.


Whether you’re joining a ministry for the first time or updating your compliance, we’re here to support you. Upcoming training dates and fingerprinting appointments are available—please contact the parish office at 661‑252‑3353 or email m.torres@st-clare.org to reserve your spot.

At St. Clare, we are committed to creating a safe environment for every child and vulnerable adult in our parish community. The VIRTUS® Program provides essential training that empowers volunteers, staff, and ministry leaders to recognize, prevent, and report abuse.

Fingerprinting

Fingerprinting is a vital part of our parish’s commitment to safety and trust. We periodically offer fingerprinting at St Clare through the Archdiocese of Los Angeles.

Appointment Required!

Per Archdiocese, all church volunteers MUST have updated Virtus certification and Fingerprinting on file.

Virtus Class

Protecting God's Children: 3-Hr Class, Valid for 4 years. 

  1. English: Saturday, April 25 at 10:00am – 1:00pm
  2. English: Saturday, July 25 at 10:00am – 1:00pm
  3. Spanish: Saturday, August 15 at 10:00am – 1:00pm

Keeping the Promise Alive (Recertification class, must have completed PGC). 

  1. Spanish: Friday, July 17 at 7:00pm – 8:30pm
  2. English: Friday, July 31 at 7:00pm – 8:30pm

Fingerprinting

Please bring photo identification to Renehan Hall. 

  1. Friday, May 1 at 12:00pm – 7:00pm
  2. Saturday, June 6 at 10:00am – 5:00pm
  3. Friday, July 17 at 12:00pm – 7:00pm
  4. Friday, September 4 at 12:00pm – 7:00pm
