Meet Our Pastors
Fr. Marlon Mateo
Pastor
Fr. Marlon Mateo was born and raised in the Philippines. He came to Toronto, Canada in 1999 and was ordained as a priest on December 19, 2009 for the Order of Carmelites. He spent several years in secondary education as a teacher for 6 years in Chicago and 2 years in Encino, CA.
Prior to joining the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, he served as an Associate Pastor at Holy Family South Pasadena from 2016-2018 and then Holy Family Church in Glendale from 2018-2022. In September 2021, Fr. Mateo was formally incardinated as a priest of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles.
Fr. Marlon enjoys traveling, good food and time with friends. He began his ministry as an Administrator here at St. Clare on July 1st, 2022.

Seminarians
Our Parish Seminarians
With great joy, we offer our prayers and support for our parish seminarians as they continue their journey of formation at St. John’s Seminary. We thank God for this wonderful blessing and ask our parish family to keep them in prayer as they begin their seminary formation.
As we celebrate this blessing, we invite you to pray for an increase in vocations to the priesthood and religious life and to join us every Thursday after the 9:00 AM Mass for our Holy Hour of Adoration for vocations and those discerning God's call.
