Order of Christian Initiation of Adults
What is OCIA
OCIA, which stands for the Order of Christian Initiation of Adults, is the Catholic Church's process for welcoming adults into the faith through formation, study, and prayer. Previously known as the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA), it guides those who have not been baptized, were baptized in other Christian traditions, or were baptized Catholic but have not completed their initiation sacraments (like Confirmation and Eucharist). The process is a journey that involves learning about the faith and participating in the life of the church community, which can also be adapted for older children.
